April 17, 2013  02:10
Nigeria today charged three journalists and the parent company of their newspaper over a story claiming the president had ordered a sabotage campaign of an opposition coalition.

President Goodluck Jonathan's office has dismissed the story, and an alleged presidential document detailing the sabotage, as false.

According to the report in the independent Leadership newspaper on April 3, Jonathan instructed his allies to frustrate efforts by the opposition to unite ahead of presidential polls in 2015.
