Farooq Abdullah at Thatcher's funeral

Minister for New and Renewable Energy Dr. Farooq Abdullah attended the ceremonial funeral of Baroness Margaret Thatcher at St. Paul's Cathedral in London on Wednesday on behalf of the Government of India.

Dr. Abdullah described Baroness Thatcher as a transformative figure of global standing and remembered her for notable contribution to the strengthening of India-UK relations. He conveyed deep condolences to the family and friends of Baroness Thatcher on his own behalf, on behalf of her countless admirers in India as well as the Government of India.
