American Airlines cancels flights after outage

American Airlines said Tuesday that it had grounded all of its flights after a nationwide problem with its computer reservation systems.

The airline said it had imposed a ground delay on planes scheduled to take off until 5 p.m. Eastern time as it works to resolve the issue.
