WB Governor to visit Presidency university today

West Bengal Governor M K Narayanan would visit the Presidency University today, two days after it was ransacked and vandalised by a group carrying Trinamool Congress flags.

The Governor, also the Chancellor, would visit the university in the afternoon, Raj Bhavan sources said.

The Governor would visit the campus to meet the students, Prabir Dasgupta, Registrar of the university, said. Strongly criticising the incident which took political overtones, Narayanan had yesterday said that those who ransacked the institution should be treated like criminals.

Vice Chancellor of the University Malabika Sarkar had said that those who vandalised various departments carried TMC flags.
