Congress has "excellent" chances of coming to power after the next month's Karnataka Assembly elections as the BJP rule is marked by maladministration and corruption, Union Minister M Veerappa Moily said today. Moily told reporters that there was "no question" of BJP returning to power.

To repeated BJP's taunts to Congress to name its Chief Ministerial candidate, Moily said his party did not believe in projecting anyone as the practice was that the MLAs would be consulted on the issue. "They (BJP) announce their captain of and on. That is why they collapsed," Moily said. Ruling out himself from the race of chief ministership in the event of Congress being voted to power, Moily said his role would be to ensure the party's victory.
