A Ganesh Nadar reports: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa is often referred to as 'Amma'.

So promotion of Amma is a full time occupation for her partymen and bureaucrats in the state. Their latest effort deserves mention.

Earlier, when district officials visited a village and interacted with the public, the exercise was called a 'janata darbar'.

Today, it is called AMMA.

AMMA stands for Assured Maximum Service to Marginal People in All Villages.

So earlier, the villagers used to attend 'janata darbar', now they attend AMMA!!!
