Chidambaram promises amendments to Income Tax Act

I hope we can pass the Insurance Amendment Bill in the current budget session of Parliament, said the FM.

He added that the government will come out with amendments to the Income Tax Act once the tax dispute with Vodafone is resolved.

Chidambaram informed that an additional 50 lakh people have filed Income Tax returns, so the government's approach is yielding results.
