India among 8 nations dangerous for women to travel

Recently, a Swiss cyclist was gang-raped in Madhya Pradesh's Datia district, a South Korea student was molested on a Kolkata bus. With a rise in attacks on women tourists in India, the country is among the eight popular tourist destinations which are dangerous for women to travel, reports Business Insider.

Based on reports from Human Rights Watch, the US state department, and crime reports in the media a list has been drawn. Other nations which are unsafe for women Brazil, Turkey, Egypt, Colombia, Gautemala, Mexico and Kenya, the report says.
