China bird flu toll rises to 3

One more person infected with the deadly H7N9 bird flu virus died in east China today, raising the toll from the incurable disease to three, while the total number of people battling with the virulent disease reached nine.

"Two more infections of the H7N9 bird flu, involving one death, were reported in east China's Zhejiang Province, bringing the total number of the infected people in the country to nine," the state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
