Why DMK is upset with Ajay Maken

Minister of State for Finance S S Palanimanickam has sought DMK chief Karunanidhi's permission to move a privilege motion against Sports Minster Ajay Maken in the Lok Sabha.

Ajay Maken wrote to an MLA in Tamil Nadu and sanctioned Rs 6 crore to build a stadium in Palanimanikam's parliament constituency. However, the MoS is upset as Maken disbursed the money without his knowledge.

A new headache is brewing for the DMK and Congress, said a senior DMK leader.
