Economic reforms unavoidable, says Chidambaram

The United Progressive Alliance coordination committee agrees that economic reforms were necessary and unavoidable, said Finance Minister P Chidambaram today after a meet in New Delhi.

"The government's decisions are welcomed by stakeholders," he added.

This was the first meet of the committee after the split with the Trinamool Congress.
