DMK demands rollback of diesel prices at UPA meet

At the UPA coordination committee meet today, DMK demanded for a rollback of diesel prices and an increase in LPG cap, according to our correspondent in New Delhi.

T R Balu of the DMK demanded that the cap on LPG cylinders should be increased to 18-20. T R Baalu also explained the reason why DMK supported the Opposition during the national bandh against diesel hike and cap on LPG.

While the PM did not speak, DMK sources said Finance Minister P Chidambaram gave explanations for increase in diesel prices.
