Rs 5 crore job for former govt official!

A correspondent from Delhi reports: A whopping figure of Rs 5 crore has been reportedly offered to a recently retired top official at North Block, to take up the post of a retainer.

The job profile involves focussing on political issues, identifying towns and villages for land acquisition, liaisoning with the chief secretaries of state governments and negotiating the purchase of land.

The retainer also has to lobby with opposition parties to accept the controversial FDI in retail. He also has to work towards positive media coverage of the issue.
