Mamata to attend Kolkata rally with local celebrities

A correspondent reports from Kolkata: Ministry of Railways does not belong to Trinamool Congress any more. Yet some celebrities from Bengal like painter Suvaprasanna and thespian Saoli Mitra still adorn the membership of a railway committee.

They apparently refused to step down, even after Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee appealed to them, on the ground that theirs are not offices of profit.

These celebs will take part in a meeting/rally in central Kolkata this afternoon. The chief minister too, it is heard, will be with them.
