Telangana JAC to go ahead with Sep 30 'march'

Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) today said it will go ahead with its proposed 'march' for separate statehood on September 30 notwithstanding appeals made by chief minister and others to put it off.

Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and some other leaders have asked JAC to postpone its march, expected to be attended by a large number of people, to a later date as the prestigious global meet on biodiversity is scheduled to be held here from October 1 to 19.

There have been apprehensions expressed in some quarters that the 'march' might turn violent.
