Parliament prorogued after monsoon session

Both Houses of Parliament have been prorogued after the conclusion of the monsoon session on September 7.

"The Lok Sabha which commenced its Eleventh Session on the 8th August, 2012 has been prorogued by the President on the 12th September, 2012," a Lok Sabha Secretariat statement said.

The Rajya Sabha which adjourned sine die on September 7 has been prorogued by the President Pranab Mukherjee on September 12, a Rajya Sabha Secretariat statement said.
