SP: Rahul Gandhi lacks ability, not fit to be PM

The Samajwadi Party is now holding a press conference in Kolkata during its national executive meet in the city. Spokesperson Mohan Singh said the party will not name its prime ministerial candidate till the third front is formed. He said while the Trinamool Congress is a major regional party, its alliance is with the Left. "In our time of difficulty Harkishan Singh Surjeet and Jyoti Basu supported us. We will contest the LS polls alone, led by the chief minister Akhilesh Yadav," said Singh.

He also said that Rahul Gandhi was not fit to be PM. "He lacks the ability to run the country. The party will maintain a distance from both the BJP and the Congress," pointed out Singh.
