5.8-magnitude quake strikes between Guam, Japan

The US Geological Survey says a magnitude 5.8 earthquake struck between Guam and Japan. 

The early today earthquake was centered 155 miles southwest of Hagatna, Guam and 289 miles southwest of Saipan in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. The epicenter had a depth of more than 6 miles. 

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries. A magnitude 5.0 earthquake also struck the area early Saturday.
