This democracy is ours: Barack Obama

In a strongly worded speech to the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte , United States President Barack Obama has sought a second term as the leader of the free world.

"This democracy is ours. We have both rights and responsibilities," he said.

He promised that if he was given four more years in the top post, he would try to find a solution to many of America's problems.
