Deyner is the Washington Post Bureau Chief for India. Congress spokesperson and the good news is that he has not apologised and after the government seems to have calmed down and is no more insistent on an apology. He said that he wrote a one-sided article since the PM refused an interview.

Congress spokesperson Manish Tiwari on CNN IBN says it is wrong to call the PM silent. He clarifies that the PMO has said the Dr Singh will not speak when the Parliament is in session.
