No end to Syria violence
September 03, 2012  09:05
Syria is witnessing one of its bloodiest phases. According to media reports, over 2,000 people have been killed in violence in the last one week.

Nearly 26,000 people are feared killed in Syria since a rebellion broke out in March 2011.

A plan laid down by a United Nations team, led by former secretary general Kofi Annan, has failed to end the violence.
