Coal minister: Takes a year to review coal blocks

Coal minister Sriprakash Jaiswal speaking to CNN IBN says that it takes a whole year to review coal block allocations. Environmental clearances are taking time, he points out and promises that action will be taken against coal companies not using licenses, but says it takes at least five years for companies to start mining.
Fifty-eight coal blocks have been issued a notice, while 148 coal blocks are under scrutiny.
