Maoist leader arrested near Ranchi

A self-styled sub-zonal Commander of the CPI-Maoist was today arrested at Bundu, nearly 40 km from here, and the police recovered landmines and other explosives during the raids.

Biren Munda alias Mahesji was arrested following a tip-off, Senior Superintendent of police Saket Kumar Singh told mediapersons.

The raids also helped the police discover three landmines, unspecified number of gelatin sticks, 30 boosters, one pistol and other explosives.
