The BJP on Tuesday defended party president Nitin Gadkari who facing serious allegations of corporate fraud, with questions now being raised on the source of funding for the firm Purti Power and Sugar Ltd-controlled by him.

Addressing media persons, BJP spokesman Nirmala Sithraman said the party stood by Gadkari stand that he was ready to have the matter probed by any competent authority.
