Apple loses 'iPad design infringement' case against Samsung

Tech giant Apple lost its patent case against Samsung in an appeals court in London after a judge ruled that the Korean electronics manufacturer's Galaxy tablet does not copy the iPad's design.

London's Court of Appeal upheld a previous decision that said Samsung''s Galaxy tablet did not infringe upon Apple's patents.

The court said there were similarities between the two devices, but that Samsung had not infringed Apple's design, in part because its products were "not as cool".
