Kejriwal: Gadkari grabbed land, water from farmers
October 17, 2012  17:24
Kejriwal says that Gadkari has five power plants and two sugar plants in Maharashtra and the land given to him in Vidharbha is in violation of a government order.

"Despite requests from farmers, excess land was given to Gadkari. It is well known that farmers in this region have been committing suicides in large numbers. These dams have been constructed for providing water for irrigation to farmers in this region. However, almost the entire water is being diverted for power and sugar industry.

The water from these dams has not reached the farmers for irrigation. Instead, the entire water from this dam (
Lower Vena Vadgaon Dam) has been permitted to be used by Nitin Gadkaris firms and other industries in that area.
