Actor Shahid Kapoor has wished newly wed couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor a happy life together. Saif and Kareena today had a registered marriage after a five-year courtship.

Prior to Saif, Kareena had dated Shahid before they separated during the shooting of Jab We Met. "I would like to congratulate the family first. Marriage is a big occasion for the family. I have known Babita and Randhirji for a while. A daughter's marriage is a big thing.

"The decision to get married is a big one. I wish Saif and Kareena a happy married life," Shahid told reporters here at an event. "I hope they stay happy together. I hope Kareena works after marriage also, she is one of the finest actresses," he said.
