BSF recovers heroin worth Rs 20 crore in Punjab

Border Security Force has seized four packets of heroin worth Rs 20 crore and arrested two persons in this connection from near Indo-Pak border at Jalandhar. 

During inspection, BSF personnel seized four packets of heroin from a farming field in Khem Karan area of Tarn Taran district, Director General of Punjab Frontier of BSF Aditya Mishra said.

A pistol made in Pakistan and some ammunition was also seized and two persons who were present nearby were arrested, he said.

The two arrested persons have been identified as Sardool Singh and Harpal Singh, he said adding, the matter was being further probed
