Cauvery River Authority rejects K'taka review petition

The Cauvery River Authority has rejected the review petition filed by Karnataka, reports Vicky Nanjappa.

Karnataka had sought a review of the CRA order which orders the release of 9000 cusecs of water to Tamil Nadu.

However, in the Supreme Court today, Karnataka filed an affidavit stating that 9000 cusecs of water had already flown into Tamil Nadu. Although the entire 9000 cusecs of water was not released physically to Tamil Nadu as per the order of the CRA, water had flown into TN as part due to excess water from the northeast rainfall.
