UP: Probe ordered into 'abduction' of Gonda CMO

The Uttar Pradesh government forms a two-member team to probe the case of the abduction of a chief medical officer by a minister. 

The committee is expected to submit its reports in the next two days.

Sources in the government said Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and SP President Mulayam Singh Yadav have taken strong note of the report.

According to media reports, the CMO of gonda was allegedly abducted by the inister of State for Revenue and Rehabilitation Vinod Singh alias Pandit Singh as he was "unhappy" over the refusal to accommodate his nominees on the list of doctors on contract recruited by the district health department under National Rural Health Mission.
