Our Delhi sources tell us that the ceiling of the Prime Minister Office in South Block is cracking and plaster that has been peeling off was falling on visitors. Victims include Minister of State in PMO V Narayanaswami.

Assuming this to be a bad omen, Narayanaswami organised a sprucing up of his room keeping vaastu in mind during the remodeling.

A massive repair job is now on in most of the chambers of the PMO. At least 20 labourers have been repairing the wall and the ceiling -- which should be ready by Diwali.

And of course speculation is on whether this chamber is in fact being readied for Maharashtra CM Prithviraj Chavan to be inducted into the Cabinet and the Prime Minister's Office without a portfolio in upcoming Cabinet shuffle.
