Uphaar owner apologises to victims in SC

Owner of Uphaar Cinema Sushil Ansal apologised to victims in the Supreme Court today.

"I will set up a trauma centre,' he said.

The Uphaar Cinema fire occurred on Friday, June 13, 1997 during the premiere screening of the movie, Border. Trapped inside, 59 people died, mostly due to suffocation, and 103 were seriously injured in the resulting stampede.
