Phew, Facebook hits 1 billion active users!

The world's largest social network, Facebook has finally reached the one billion active user mark, eight years after launch, writes Zack Whittaker in cnet.com.

'If Facebook were a country, it would be the third largest in the world, behind China with 1.34 billion and India with 1.2 billion,' he writes, here.
