Case against Jaiswal for 'old wives' remark
October 03, 2012  14:27
Coal Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal has landed himself in trouble after saying old wives lose charm. A case has now been filed against him in a Kanpur court. The case will be heard on October 8.

Meanwhile, women MPs have also said that they will write to Congress President Sonia Gandhi demanding for action. "There is not a single person who respects him. Even a person from the Congress doesn't respect him. Congress should take action," Akali Dal MP Harsimrat Kaur said.

In yet another foot in the mouth comment from Sriprakash Jaiswal, the coal minister's comment that 'like old victory, old wives give no cause for celebration', angered not just the Opposition, but also the NCW and the Congress. Even as Jaiswal apologised under pressure, he maintained that he hadn't spoken anything wrong.
