Building collapse in Chennai, many feared trapped

One person has died and many are feared trapped in a building which collapsed in Triplicane locality of Chennai on Wednesday morning.

Rescue teams have been pressed into service, police and fire officials said.

Efforts are on to rescue those trapped under debris. Locals have also joined the rescue operations.

The government authorities are yet to confirm the exact death toll. Reports say there could be more people trapped under the debris. More details of the incident are awaited
