Gujarat Congress VP defects to BJP

Just in: Former minister and vice president of the Gujarat Congress Girish Parmar is set to join the BJP. He is likely to be fielded from the Danilimda reserved seat. Over 1,200 nominations have been found valid on scrutiny for the first phase of Assembly elections in Gujarat to be held in 87 constituencies on December 13, a senior Election Commission official has said.
