Then there's news that Ajit Seth is being considered for the position of
Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) when Vinod Rai completes
his term on May 25, 2013. Seth is now cabinet secretary - a non controversial babu -- and has also been Resident Commissioner for Uttar Pradesh Bhavan
in New Delhi for seven years during which he has not handled a crisis nor held any key department.

He has also briefly served as Secretary to Government of India. Two Union Minsters said that in the event the UPA returned to power, the forecast in the next three years is that Seth and his reports will not stall Parliament. Ajit Seth will certainly not be Vinod Rai say these two ministers.
