Maharashtra Congress today issued a show-cause notice to the party corporator in the Mumbai Municipal Corporation, Sunil More, for his statement that a memorial of Bal Thackeray, the late Shiv Sena supremo, should be constructed at Indu Mills premises.        

More's statement yesterday ruffled some feathers, as Dalit organisations have been demanding that the land, in central Dadar, be given for memorial of Dr B R Ambedkar. The state government too has endorsed the demand. The premises belong to National Textile Corporation.        

Shiv Sena, which has been demanding that Thackeray's memorial be built at Shivaji Park (where his last rites were conducted), today termed More's proposal as ridiculous.
