Review: Life of Pi is bold and wondrous

There are several reasons why Yann Martel's Man Booker prize-winning novel Life of Pi was considered unfilmable when it was published in 2001.That most of the story takes place on a lifeboat in the middle of the Pacific Ocean surely didn't help.
