Dr Karan Singh resigns from Ethics Committee

A correspondent from Delhi reports: Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member Dr Karan Singh on Thursday resigned as the chairman of the Ethics Committee.

His resignation came as a surprise not only to the chairman of Rajya Sabha but even to the leaders of the UPA.

The reason behind his decision to resign is not known.

Experts are wondering whether his resignation is a political move or if he is upset with the functioning of Members of Parliament.
