Nigerian President to attend D-8 summit in Islamabad

Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan will arrive in Pakistan's capital Islamabad to attend the summit of Group of Eight Developing Nations (D-8) which opens tomorrow. 

On his trip, the President will be accompanied by his minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Olugbenga Ashiru, Minister of Trade and Investment Olusegun Aganga and Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, his spokesperson Reuben Abati said. 

"Besides participating in the summit of the D-8 which was established in 1997 to foster developmental cooperation amongst member-countries, President Jonathan will also hold bilateral meetings in Islamabad with the Presidents of Pakistan, Malaysia, Turkey, Iran and Egypt who are also the member countries," Abati said.
