Patna: 18 killed in stampede at Chhath Puja

At least 18 devotees have beem killed at Ganga Ghat in Patna during Chhath festivities. Among those killed were 10 women and eight children, reports M I Khan.

"This shocking incident took place after a temporary bridge of bamboo collapsed due to heavy rush of people, mainly devotees," a police official said.

The bodies have been brought to the Patna Medical College Hospital.
