Mumbai: School buses off roads, Zaveri Bazar shut

CNN-IBN reports: While Zaveri Bazar has decided to stay shut, most markets and offices are open for business.

The school bus owners' association too has decided not to operate on Monday. The move, however, will affect only a few schools as a majority are shut for Diwali vacations.

Taxis, autos and public buses are back on the roads, providing commuters much relief.

Federation of Associations of Maharashtra called upon its constituents and the trading community to observe a bandh in Maharashtra on Monday as a mark of respect to the Shiv Sena supremo.

Various organisations of traders and dealers are affiliated to FAM, including Agriculture Produce Market Committee (APMC) and markets dealing in grains, sugar, dry fruits, metal, iron and steel and chemicals.
