Lokpal draft adopted, wants PM under it

The Rajya Sabha Select Committee on Monday adopted draft report on the Lokpal Bill. The BJP has given a suggestion note against 50 per cent reservation in Lokpal. This is not a dissent note.

The Left has also given a suggestion note to bring "private sector"under the purview of the bill. Earlier, social activist Anna Hazare had accused Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of "betrayal" on the Jan Lokpal Bill and warned of another protest if it was not passed before the 2014 general election.
