In Thane, a stronghold of the Sena, a few shops are open. A colleagues tells us that people are queuing up for necessities and stocking up on provisions. Two words that describe it: Panic buying.
That's also because of persistent rumours that there will be a bandh tomorrow. Shops have remained shut for a day and a half (Saturday evening, all of today) after Thackeray's death.
