Railway Minister Bansal visits New Delhi station

In order to take stock of the rush of passengers during the festive season, Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal today visited New Delhi station and saw the arrangements made to tackle the demand for trains.     

"I went around the station and am satisfied with the arrangement. Though I believe there will always be enough scope for further improvement," Bansal said after visiting a few platforms at the station.     

New Delhi station, which caters to about 300 trains and about 5 lakh passengers daily, witnessed a record of about 7.5 lakh passengers during the festive season.
