Our Delhi sources tell us that senior BJP leader LK Advani may not attend
the Central Election Committee of his party, which is expected to finalise the candidates for the Gujarat Assembly. The CEC is to meet by Monday.

And another snippet: The AICC and the PMO has apparently received a message from the DMK today that says: The DMK is with you. To respect this sentiment, a senior Union Minister may be rushed to Chennai to meet Karunanidhi by next week before the winter session of Parliament commences on November 22.

If a Congress emissary is indeed sent to Chennai, the DMK is sure to tom tom it as a loss of authority for TR Baalu, whose wings have been clipped.
