Tibetans in India stage protest against Chinese govt

Tibetans living in India, staged a protested outside the Chinese embassy in New Delhi on Monday against alleged repressive policies of the China to draw global attention to their plight at a time of change at the top in Beijing. The protesters, with faces painted in the red and yellow colours of Tibetan flag, charged towards the Chinese embassy shouting slogans of ''free Tibet''.

After a brief tussle with police, the protesters were controlled and detained. The protesters said the rising number of self-immolations by Buddhist monks and nuns inside Tibet was a cause of serious concern and that the world should put pressure on the Chinese government to end its repressive policies in their homeland.
