Hamid Karzai accorded ceremonial reception at Rashtrapati Bhawan

Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai received a ceremonial reception at the Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi this morning. He was received by President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh at Rashtrapati Bhawan He inspected the guard of honour and also met members of the Indian Cabinet.

"As always, it''s a great honour for the people of Afghanistan and me. The President of India has been so kind to me. Today meeting will further enhance the relationship of the people of India and Afghanistan," Karzai told media. Karzai, who arrived here on Sunday evening on the second leg of his four-day state visit to India, will hold delegation-level talks with Dr. Singh today.
