We bit the bullet and did what we felt was right: PM

Creating economic growth and employment will remain the focus of government policies in the months ahead, said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

We need to correct our own weaknesses and create new job opportunities, said Dr Singh.

While speaking on economic reforms, the PM said, "We bit the bullet and did what we felt was right thing to do, undoubtedly more needs to be done".

Dr Singh also said that decisions on taxation issues were likely within the next few weeks.
